Choosing a soil compactor

Soil compactors are also known as vibratory, plate or “jumper” vibrators. Their main task is compaction of the ground (soil) during road and paving works. Most often we talk about compacting ballast under pavements or driveways. The advantage of such a device is its universal use for all types of surfaces, eg gravel, sand, clay, etc.

When choosing a compactor, pay attention to the size, weight and power of the engine. Due to the specific type of work, we must also pay attention to the whipping performance, directionality, centrifugal force, frequency of vibration and the availability of accessories. The availability of accessories can vary, so you should choose a manufacturer that has both – parts and service.

We can choose one-way or reversible compactors.

One-way compactors

Single-directional hand vibrators are mainly used for smaller and lighter road works, such as compacting ballast under pavements or driveways. In these cases a too heavy machine is not required. For such works, the Dynamic HZR 120 Soil Compactor is ideally suited for whipping sand, grit, gravel and granular materials. It performs very well in the case of compacting excavations or foundations and small works in road repairs.

We also use the dynamic ENAR ZEN 20 CGR, ENAR ZEN 16 CGR and ENAR ZEN 20 DGH compactors for light work. All machines mentioned have the original Honda engine, which guarantees reliable and trouble-free operation of the device.

Reversible compactors

Reversible compactors are definitely heavier machines than one-way compactors. The weight of such compactors varies from 60 to 900 kg. Weight and power are selected according to the device and the scope of the road works. They are most often used for much heavier and more demanding jobs in the paving, construction or gardening industry. Despite the heavier weight, reversible vibrators are easy to operate thanks to the reliable operation of the Honda engine or the Hatz diesel engine. All Dynamic compactors are high-quality devices.
